Client Testimonials

"Massage therapist only starts to describe Eugene Wood’s ability to facilitate the healing process.

His extensive knowledge of the body’s anatomy and energy pathways, coupled with his intuitive nature, create a remarkable healing experience.

With Eugene’s commitment to helping his clients release deep seated pain, stress, and tension, I have found relief from chronic, constricting back pain.

While the physical body relaxes, I have also found emotions stored on a cellular level have discharged, as well. Eugene is a gifted healer."

Recent developments include both intriguing innovations and clever combinations, which are now being practiced as a vibrant, living therapeutic tradition -- and it is happening right here in New York.

With so many different modalities available, keeping up with all of the new terminology can be somewhat confusing.
Eugene offers client education, which allows you to learn about the techniques being used if you wish. The fine art of combining Massage Therapist techniques with the clients' specific needs is comparable to the way a musician may draw from diverse theoretical backgrounds in order to improvise well.

Massage Therapy Treatments

When you make an appointment with Eugene, you can expect to see a professional specialist in the restoration of soft tissues. Eugene has a comprehensive background in multiple therapeutic traditions, which include the skillful manipulation of the connective tissue, or fascia, muscles and ligaments.

Remember, when he works to eliminate the restriction in the connective tissue, he is also encouraging all of the structures underneath -- the nerves, blood vessels, etc. -- to experience homeostasis and/or dynamic rest.

National Certification Board for Massage Therapy and Bodyworkers

The NCBMTB's National Certification is a credential awarded only to the most qualified applicants. It also is a commitment to continuing education units -- 48 approved continuing education units, or CEU's, must be acquired every four years in order to maintain this credential. When you work with Eugene, a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, you will always experience the latest in industry knowledge, as applied in his professional practice.

The Upledger Institute
